Covid-19 advice for Grant-holders
April 9, 2020

The Gannochy Trust recognises that the Covid-19 outbreak is an exceptional event that will have an impact on communities and we want to offer you some reassurance about your funding.  We wish to be as helpful as possible during the coming weeks and months so that groups and organisations can focus on the vital work of supporting communities and their beneficiaries.  In many instances, charities and local groups will be even more crucial than ever in providing practical and emotional support and tackling isolation.

If you receive funding from the Gannochy Trust, we will:

  • Make sure grant payments are processed as normal. We know how important this is, particularly where our grant contributes to a salary.
  • Offer flexibility around timescales and how funding is used. We recognise that you may experience difficulties achieving some of the outputs or outcomes we agreed for your grant. We also recognise that the current situation could be impacted in a range of ways. For example, some face-to-face delivery roles may have to be suspended for a period; a charity’s resources may need to be redirected; support might need to be delivered in different ways; and the timelines you planned may have to change.
  • Avoid adding pressure, so if you think you will struggle to meet reporting deadlines please get in touch with us so that we can agree a more realistic time for you to get things to us wherever possible.
  • Listen to you. We are here if you want to talk to us about the situation you are facing.

If there is anything else that would be helpful, please get in touch with us on 01738 620653 or grants@gannochytrust.org.uk.

If you do need to contact the Trust Office please be aware that we have a small staff team, and with over 300 grants currently in management, we may not be able to respond to you immediately.
