Following a review and detailed consideration of the arrangements for providing grant funding outside of Perth and Kinross, the Gannochy Trust has taken the decision to replace its open Rest of Scotland grants programme with selective pro-active grant making in this area. This will take effect for our next grant strategy period which will commence in July 2027.
This change follows a review of our funding priorities across our estate and grant making to ensure we maximise the impact of our limited resources, and protect our capability to continue this in the long term. We have seen application numbers to our Rest of Scotland funding stream increase significantly over recent years, however success rates have fallen from 66% to 32%. This position is not efficient for either the charities completing applications with limited chance of success, or our internal assessment resources. A selective, pro-active approach to funding will allow us to target our priority areas and focus our funding where we believe we can have the most impact.
Our current Rest of Scotland funding stream will remain open to recent and current grant holders who meet specific criteria until the end of our current Grant Strategy period on 30th June 2023. Further information is available in the Grants section of our website or by contacting grants@gannochytrust.org.uk.
Our grant funding within Perth and Kinross is unaffected by these changes.
