Repairs and Emergency repairs

Emergency Repairs   An Emergency Repair is where:

* Works are required to make a property safe

* There is a safety risk to the tenant or other members of the public

* There is a risk of property damage

Examples of an Emergency Repair would be:

 * Complete blockage of main drainage.

* Serious weather damage.

* Dangerous structural conditions.

* Total loss of hot water and heating to property.

* Insecure external doors.

* Total loss of light or power to property (you must ensure that this is not being caused by a wider power outage.—Call 0800 300 999 to check)

 * Water penetration affecting electrical system.

Managing condensation

Condensation can be a common problem, especially in older stone built properties. The Gannochy Trust’s founder, A K Bell, recognised the importance of good ventilation in keeping our houses healthy, and the Trust maintained this approach with enhanced passive ventilation designed into our most recent housing development at Camilla Bell Crescent to improve air quality.
