Gannochy Trust Invite Tenants to Community Consultation

Through 2021, The Gannochy Trust will be working with the Scottish Community Development Centre (SCDC) to understand your aspirations for a better community.

Working with SCDC, we want to hear from as many community members as possible, to understand what you want from our housing, greenspaces, community facilities and many other areas.  This is your opportunity to have your say so we can build a better community together.

So how can you get involved?

  1. Community reference group

We are setting up a community reference group consisting of 4-5 informal meetings over the next four months.  We’d welcome anyone to join and hope to have members of all ages and from the different housing types.  If you’d like more information or to join, please contact Steven Greig by e-mail steven.greig@gannochytrust.org.uk or telephone 07545 164359. Alternatively you can send a letter to the Trust: The Gannochy Trust, Pitcullen Crescent, Perth PH2 7HX.

  1. Community survey

We are running a community survey which will be available in print and online. We will send you the survey questions shortly.  Please take the time to answer the questions, as well as encourage young people within your family to complete our separate young person’s survey.  If you live in sheltered housing, a member of the SCDC Trust team will be in touch separately.

  1. Focus groups

You can also take part in one of the focus groups to discuss living on the Gannochy Estate in more depth – further details will follow.

  1. Green spaces

We are also looking at how our community can make better use of its greenspaces, including parks and grassed areas.  To improve our understanding, we will hold a series of outdoor site visits.  We will advertise dates and times for visits to each of the green spaces marked on the map below

In the meantime, have a think about any events, projects, activities, or developments you might like to see happen in these green spaces.  We look forward to working with you to build a better community!
