Roland Bean has been appointed as the new chair of The Gannochy Trust, taking over from Stephen Hay who has held the position since 2023. Roland joined the Board Trustees in December 2017 and has been vice-chair since 2023 – he took up his new position on the 14th July 2025 with Ailsa Macmillan replacing him as the new vice-chair.
During his two years at the helm, Stephen has overseen the implementation of the Trust’s five-year strategic plan, including the completion of new community greenspaces on our housing estate, and the establishment of a Youth Panel to distribute specific funding for young people across Perth and Kinross. He has also been instrumental in the review of the Trust’s investment strategy, helping to maximise the Trust’s assets for public good in the long term. Stephen will remain on the Board of Trustees until the end of 2025.
