Flooding damage at Quarrymill Woodland Walk

During the heavy rains in early October, waterways across Scotland endured high levels of flooding.  Quarrymill Woodland Park suffered a landslide from the draining water table at the south bank at the lower end of the park.  This resulted in one of the picnic areas being heavily damaged, the main walkway and a bridge being partially blocked, picnic benches destroyed, and a tree being toppled.  Public access was temporarily restricted as work progressed to make the area safe and accessible again and to complete clean-up operations.  Please observe any signage and barrier tape on-site to keep yourself and your pets safe.
