The Gannochy Trust welcomes two new members of staff

Haley Dey has recently joined The Gannochy Trust as the new Finance Administrator, while Stuart Monro has been appointed as the Trust’s new gardener.

Haley is a former accountancy graduate from Perth UHI and previously worked as a purchase ledger for Anglo Beef Processors in Perth. Prior to that, Haley spent eight years living and working in Edinburgh as an administrator for a range of organisations. She worked at a leading master-planning firm on a range of interesting projects, including the V&A and Slessor Gardens in Dundee and the St James Shopping Centre in Edinburgh.

Haley said: “I am very excited to be working with such an innovative and well-known charity, learning more about the great work the Gannochy Trust does and offering my skills to help deliver a service that has a positive impact on people’s lives.

My first few weeks have been fantastic, I couldn’t have asked for a better welcome. Everyone I have met from colleagues to tenants, have been incredibly friendly and helpful.”

Meanwhile, Stuart Monro has joined the Estates team who maintain The Gannochy Trust’s extensive grounds and woodlands. Before joining the Trust, Stuart worked as a caretaker at Perth College and prior to that, was a member of the armed forces. Stuart has relished his first few weeks at the Trust.

He said: “It’s been great. The team is easy to get on with and I’m enjoying working here. I’ve always fancied the opportunity to work outside, and the Trust offer a range of training opportunities which is great for my career in gardening. I’m learning to use a chainsaw, drive tractors and I’ve been involved with some hedge cutting at some of the properties.

I’m born and bred in Gannochy, so it’s great to be working so close to home. I’m looking forward to getting to know the estate and working with Alastair and the team.”
