The Gannochy Trust appoints new Trustee to join its Board

The Gannochy Trust has appointed Professor Karen Reid to join its Board of Trustees from 15 December 2022. Jane Mudd, who had been a Trustee for eight years, stood down on the same date having served two full terms on the Board.

Karen will bring a wealth of experience to The Gannochy Trust having spent much of her career in senior positions within the public sector including her current role as Chief Executive of NHS Education for Scotland, and previous CEO positions with the Care Inspectorate and Perth and Kinross Council. Karen has a track record in developing highly effective relationships to maximise collaborative working and has a particular interest in reducing health and social inequalities to help build resilient communities.

Jane was one of The Gannochy Trust’s longest serving Trustees on the current Board, having joined the Trust in 2014. As an experienced consultant in organisational and leadership development, Jane brought a wealth of experience and commitment to the Board. With a particular interest in how charities can contribute to thriving communities, Jane always delivered sound, practical advice to the Trust and will be greatly missed.

David Gray, Chairman of The Gannochy Trust said: “We welcome Karen to our Board of Trustees. Her wide range of experience, local knowledge and underlying passion to improve the lives of vulnerable people will complement our Board greatly. We very much look forward to working with Karen, and would like to thank Jane for the huge contribution she has made to the Trust over the last eight years.”
