The Gannochy Trust is asking charities across Perth and Kinross to submit their applications for the second round of the new Youth Panel Fund.
Applications must be submitted by Friday 26th of May, in advance of the panel meeting to review and award funding. Applicants can request grants of up to £10,000 by downloading and submitting the Youth Panel Fund Application Form which can be found here.
Recruited through Perth and Kinross Strategic Youth Work Partners and care experienced youth services, The Gannochy Trust Youth Panel consists of 12 young people aged between 14-21. The panel meets four times a year to assess and approve applications of up to £10,000 from an annual funding pot of £100,000.
The core aims and outcomes of The Gannochy Trust Youth Panel Fund are;
- Youth Activity: Providing groups of young people with the opportunity to experience travel and new environments;
- Youth Voice: empowering young people through projects that support their opinion being heard;
- Youth Health and Wellbeing: helping young people develop independent living skills and activities that are focused on improving their wellbeing.
At their first assessment meeting in April, the Youth Panel awarded funding for summer holiday programmes, a new Youth Voice Panel, and a youth group residential adventure trip to Alton Towers.
